BOOK OF THE CYCLEMOTOR

Author: Ferrers Leigh & Floyd Clymer
ISBN: 9781588501981
VP Book ID: 20110
Pages: 108
Dimensions: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Description: 108 pages, 39 black & white illustrations, size 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Originally published under the same title, this book is one of The Motorcyclist’s Library series published in the USA by Floyd Clymer by arrangement with the original publishers, Pitman Ltd. of London, England.

This re-print of the Ferrers Leigh 1954 first edition includes information on choosing, running and servicing 17 different cyclemotor units, clip-on motors and lightweight powered bicycles (autocycles). Models covered in detail are: Auto-Minor, Berini, B.S.A. ‘Winged Wheel’, Cyclaid, Cyclemaster, Ducati ‘Cucciolo’, Itom, Lohmann, Mini-Motor, Mobylette, Mocyc, Mosquito, Power Pak, Teagle, VAP 4, VeloSoleX and the Vincent ‘Firefly’. In addition, there is a chapter that deals with the Type A and Type B Amal carburetters that were commonly fitted to these units plus a chapter on the ‘Bantamag’ (Wico-Pacy) magneto, which was standard equipment on many cyclemotors.

To the best of our knowledge there is no other publication that deals with the cyclemotor era in such detail. Obviously, this publication is a ‘must have’ addition to any cyclemotor enthusiasts library and remains the ultimate singular reference for a number of the more popular 1950’s cyclemotors.

Out-of-print and unavailable for many years, this book is becoming increasingly more difficult to find on the secondary market and we are pleased to be able to offer this reproduction as a service to all cyclemotor owners, restorers and enthusiasts worldwide...$24.95 USD
