This manual is a compilation of 3 original factory publications making it possibly the most comprehensive manual ever published for the 1972 to 1977 Suzuki GT380 Series. The 3 factory publications included are as follows:
1) GT380 Service Manual More appropriately a Workshop Manual as it includes comprehensive specifications and general data information and covers the disassembly, reassembly, overhaul and maintenance of the major mechanical items including the engine, clutch, transmission, lubricating system, carburetor and fuel system and engine electrical system and wiring diagram, suspension, wheels, drive chain and tires. It also includes a section on trouble-shooting and special tools. (54 pages, published January 1978).
2) GT380 Supplemental Disc Brake Manual This manual includes repair and maintenance information for the 1973 GT380K and later models equipped with a front disc brake. This information is not included in the Service Manual. (25 pages, published September 1974).
3) GT380 Supplemental Carburetor Manual This manual includes detailed repair and maintenance information for the 1974 GT380L and later models equipped with the Amal VM24SC Type Carburetor. The comprehensive coverage included in this supplement expands on the minimal (5-page) information in the Service Manual. (19-page extract, published February 1974).
Also, please note that the text in these original Suzuki manuals was translated from Japanese into English. Consequently, some of the phrasing, grammar, punctuation and word usage may be subtly different from that commonly used in the English language. However the information, as presented, is readily understandable. In addition, while we have done our best to identify any anomalies, errors and incorrect spelling that may have occurred during the original translation process, we are certain that we will have missed one or two and we request your indulgence in ignoring them.
VelocePress.com has been publishing reprints of motorcycle and automobile manuals since 2003 and our publications have earned excellent reviews worldwide so you can be assured you are purchasing a quality product. We encourage you to exercise caution when purchasing a manual for your motorcycle or automobile as many of the reprints found on internet websites are from bedroom sellers at enticingly low prices by individuals that really have no idea what they are selling. Many are nothing more than poor quality comb-bound or ring-bound photocopies that are scanned and printed complete with greasy pages and thumbprints and, as such, are deceptively described as pre-owned, used or even refurbished. In addition, they are often advertised for the incorrect series and/or model years.
With more than 250 titles in print VelocePress is one of the fastest growing specialty automobile and motorcycle publishing companies in the USA. Please visit our website at www.VelocePress.com for more information on our company and our books. ..$34.95 USD
